Dynamic fresh atmosphere

Edeka Shopping Center
Göggingen

Design with elegance and function

About the project

The modern aesthetics of the new building “Edeka shopping center in Göggingen” is highlighted by the 3D design metal panels “Curtain Breeze”. The ventilated curtain wall is a striking design element that blends perfectly with the material combination of wood and concrete.

The slate gray color clearly reflects the Edeka brand and adds a touch of elegance and modernity to the building. The light pattern brings movement to the long side, making it appear airy and light. The subtle perforation enhances this effect, creating a play of light and shadow.

This innovative façade has already been successfully used in other joint projects with MKNG Architektur Munich for the EDEKA brand, for example in Gröbenzell. The architects deliberately chose this model because it is reminiscent of a curtain blowing in the wind, creating an elegant and dynamically fresh atmosphere, in keeping with the brand.

The ventilated curtain wall is not only an aesthetic highlight, but also a practical solution for modern buildings. The ventilated structure allows air circulation natural ventilation, with the help of which buildings can become more energy efficient. and thus save energy. At the same time, it protects the masonry from weather conditions such as rain or snow.
