The Marks Vienna is a unique architectural project:

3 architects,
3 towers (Helio Tower, The One, Q-Tower),
1 common base.

Near the gasometers, the idea of vertical housing development is raised to new dimensions in Vienna. The Q-Tower (height:114m) has just been opened and offers different services and residential units on its 34 floors. Its striking golden lines are designed with our Model Wave panels.

The internationally successful Viennese architecture firm Rüdiger Lainer + Partner was awarded the contract for the construction of the Q-Tower and the groundbreaking ceremony took place in 2019.

This residential tower fascinates at first glance with its multi-faceted facade. It is the only one of the three towers to be bent and shimmers in warm colors, as well as silver and gold tones. Golden lines are laid across the façade in fancy gradients. The 320 parametrically designed façade elements are perforated in the upper half so that residents can also enjoy the view through them, while at the same time maintaining privacy and the appearance from the outside.

The 3D look of the Wave model is reminiscent of water moving in the wind, and its arrangement on the overall building reflects the dynamism and liveliness of the residential units.

It is an impressive way from the idea to the realization. What does the Titanic have to do with it? 110 years ago the Titanic was one of the most impressive “structures”. The metal colossus weighed around 46,000 t.

About as much as the Titanic weight lays on the smooth metal panels at Binder Parametric Metal. The panel is formed in the press with approx. 50,000 t, so with “titanic” powers. The result is the current favorite design – “Crumple”. 

In a perfect repeat, the facade of the building becomes an impressive highlight.

Here Crumple is sanded in the aluminum solid sheet variant. These facade elements are used on the outside facade of a new building to cover blind boxes and for additional sun protection.

The dreary storage containers on our company premises have so far been anything but a feast for the eyes.

That is now a thing of the past and our containers shine in new splendor. Last but not least, we also clad the facade with our 3D metal panels for demonstration purposes. Different samples can be viewed in life size and thus give an impression of our 3D metal facades.

As a special feature, we have integrated our company logo into the facade using laser cut holes.

The modern Newton office complex in Munich’s West End was developed as the new administrative location of the TÜV SÜD Group and designed by DMP architects. In the foyer the walls are cladded with 3D formed stainless steel sheets in a Hillyland pattern by Binder Parametric Metal.

Precise laser trimming and perfect transitions allow the panels to have minimal joints, creating the impression of a single, continuous metal wall. The foyer was designed by Kitzig Interior Design and its stainless steel panels not only appear especially elegant but also have additional sound-absorbing properties.

The construction company WOLFF & MÜLLER now offers a modern staff restaurant. This is part of the construction company’s headquarters and is located in the newly built B&B Hotel in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. The walls are covered with 3D formed aluminium perforated sheets in Hillyland pattern by Binder Parametric Metal.

Thanks to perfect transitions and precise laser trimming, the panels fit together seamlessly and merge visually into an attractive overall structure. In the restaurant designed by Fischer Rüdenauer Architects, the panels not only contribute to the elegant appearance but also offer additional sound absorption due to the 3D structure and perforation.

Recently the latest sample designs from Binder Parametric Metal can be viewed in full size. The display features sliding panels mounted outside a window front to present not only the shape, surface and feel of the panels but also their effect as privacy and sun protection. As a result, the perforated panels appear to be filled from the outside, while they darken on the inside, without obstructing the view outside.

Interested customers can move the panels against each other and examine the perfect transitions of the patterns.
