On 15 November 2018, the Aluminum Architecture Prize 2018 was awarded in the Palace of Justice in Vienna. The winner is wiesflecker-architekten with the extension and functional renovation of the higher federal educational institute for tourism in St. Johann, Tirol.<\/p>\r\n
The particular challenge here was to create a three-dimensionally shaped sunshade that continues in its shape in the balcony railing underneath. Using a specially developed waveform for this project by the company Binder Parametric Metal, the design concept of the architects was implemented with a perforated, polished stainless steel sheet.<\/p>\r\n
